<p>It should be Zoe. They have always been lovers and even got "married". Besides, Reese's "everyone deserves a second chance" philosophy and Shaw's lack of emotion like a robot is like a cat and a mouse dating. But, I have to admit when Shaw was introduced to our last episode. Shaw has had more emotions. She has been aiming for the kneecaps like Reese. And even when Control's number came up as a victim she attempted to protect her failing off course. But, I can see it in season 5. But, Shaw and Reese have always been a badass, unstoppable team of saviors who injure people through shooting and punching them. But, for now Zoey and John should be Jack and Rose from the Titanic. </p>

<p>You know I think Shaw is softening up a little bit. Remember the little girl who gave her the medal; also she's "kind of getting used to saving people" Maybe not Reese, but I bet there's a good love interest storyline in there for Shaw. Shaw falls for some guy who is the total opposite of her; only for him to be killed off in the end. Life isn't just about "killing" people. There is a lot of room for character development with Shaw. M.M </p>

<p>Why does John have to be with anyone? He has a nice, adult friends with benefits relationship with Zoe off-screen, and that's all we need. </p>

well what i think for john to end up with someone is because he is a good person and suffered alot in his life...so he deserves better and something good which is kinda impossible but still any chances wud be good...carter was good bt sadly it cant be true ...shaw or zoe are not a good choice they both are veryy practical...there shud be someone like jessica or carter..or someone new...simply and only made for reese..

<p>Although Zoe is glamorous, she doesn't seem quite right for John but with Carter out of the picture I don't see a better prospect at the moment.  For an occasional date, Holly (the airline attendant from 4C with whom he shared a breakfast appointment after a very eventful flight) is a lovely person to have in John's life. Her goodness was restorative to his soul at a time when he had lost all faith, and there was certainly a mutual spark of interest. If nothing else, he needs more people like that to sustain him.  </p>

<p>Carter was never in the picture romantically. The producers made that clear, and you certainly can't read much in to that out-of-the-blue actors' impulse of a kiss. This isn't a teen dream show, where everyone HAS to have romance. That's one of the things that sets it apart, and that I like best. John has what he needs from Zoe right now, and he seems content with that. </p>

<p>Indeed, the moment with Carter was so lovely that I began thinking of her as a "prospect" for John even though such an attribution would have been quite premature even if she had survived. It will be interesting to see how the characters manage their "shell" identities in Season 4 and whether they will form attachments specifically to blend in more effectively under the watchful eye of Samaritan.  </p>
