<p>Hmm I just came to think.. "return 0" cannot be used to describe the Machine and Samaritan, who are killed off by ICE-9. The 0 code requires a proper clean exit. Instead, it could refer to John instead who dies exactly how he'd like to, to save someone, for greater good. He's even smiling when he gets to it. </p>

<p>He was shot at with not one but <i>three</i> assault rifles. And we were shown his dead body, right before the missile hits.
