Looks like I'm not the only one who wasn't fond of this episode. I was really looking forward to learn more about the plan that Harold set into motion in Hong Kong, and we did learn about it: it's a Trojan Horse. I was expecting something more creative to be honest, so I don't have a problem with this plan going up in smoke.

I was having an impression that this plan was suggested by the Machine when it was "time to have a talk" at the end of “
Prophets”. (Getting to see some of this wouldn't have hurt either.)

But not meeting expectations is not a real problem. The problem is that this episode was felt unnatural and out of character for me. Rubbra and Helloclaire has already elaborated this and I agree with them. (Also, the muzzle flashes looked really fake in this episode.)

I was glad to hear about Thornhill. I don't think the Machine is recruiting, at least not the way Samaritan does. Its (some say it's a her, hah) communication has always been much more implicit, relaying just the right amount of information, nudging people to do the thing in accordance with its plans but with the possibility to have them ask questions instead of following orders. Is this over now? I hope we'll find out. Either way it's interesting that the Machine nugded Harper to do its jobs instead of, say, letting her join Dominic.
