Brandon Boyd is a hedge fund financier for VAC and a former patient of Dr. Richard Nelson.
Boyd's company VAC and its boss Vincent Cochran were being investigated by the SEC for insider trading after Boyd used Nelson's inadvertent tip about failed drug trials to make $500 million by dropping the company's stock. Unknown to Boyd, Cochran had Nelson poisoned to eliminate the weak link in the SEC investigation.
Later Reese and Nelson kidnapped Boyd and Nelson threatened to shoot him if he didn't give up Cochran's location. After getting the information Reese knocked Boyd out with a single punch and left him on the side of the road.
