Biography[]
Katheryn Winnick was born in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada, and is of Ukrainian descent. She trained martial arts as a kid and received her first black belt at age 13. She entered the film industry by teaching actors martial arts, after decidnig to pursue acting she was cast as a series regular on Student Bodies. Since then she had gained popularity for playing the viking shieldmaiden Lagertha in Histroy Channel's Vikings.
Currently, she is starring as Jenny Hoyt on ABC's Big Sky.
