Roger McCourt[]

Why is Roger McCourt listed as a necessary number? Finch received his number. I've always understood necessary numbers to be Root's domain. Root was not involved with McCourt at all.

McCourt was not an irrelevant number since Finch received his number without any actual treat to McCourt's life. As the Decima agent stated, the only threat to McCourt was Finch and Reese when they started following him after they received his number. McCourt was necessary from the Machine's point of view to fight Samaritan, not because because his life was in danger from somebody else (which has been made abundantly clear ever since). I think by now it has become fairly obvious that not all persons of interest can be categorized either relevant or irrelevant, and eventually who receives the number does not indicate anything anymore, as seen on the Relevant Numbers talk page. ~~ Helloclaire (talk) 07:10, June 22, 2014 (UTC)
Simply put, the Machine charged Finch with the decision whether to kill or not kill Roger McCourt. Thus he should be considered a necessary number / tertiary operations. --Bootkiller (talk) 12:33, June 22, 2014 (UTC)
